QuickPOS Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how QuickPOS ("we", "our", or "the Application")
collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our point-of-sale system
(desktop application, web version, and other related services).
By using QuickPOS, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with any of the terms, please do not use the system.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
1.1 Account and Business Information
- Name of your business / branch.
- Username and/or name of the staff member operating the register.
- Contact email address and/or phone number.
- User roles and permissions within the system.
1.2 Sales and Transaction Information
- Products sold, quantity, price, taxes, and discounts applied.
- Payment methods (for example: cash, card, bank transfer).
- Sales notes, cancellations, and refunds.
- Register closing reports and generated reports.
1.3 Inventory Information
- Product and category lists.
- Stock levels, costs, selling prices, and barcodes.
- Inventory movement history.
1.4 Technical Information
- IP address and device type when using the connected online version.
- Basic operating system information and app version.
- Error logs used to improve stability.
QuickPOS does not store complete payment card information from your customers within the
system when such transactions are processed by an external provider (for example, a bank terminal).
2. How We Use the Information
We use the information collected to:
- Operate the main point-of-sale functions (record sales, generate receipts, manage inventory).
- Display reports, sales history, and register closing reports.
- Configure user permissions and security by branch.
- Improve the system experience (performance, new features, stability).
- Provide technical support when you contact us.
- Comply with applicable legal and tax obligations, when required.
3. Legal Basis (for Users in Regions Where Required)
Depending on your country or region, the use of your data may be based on one or more of the following legal grounds:

we need the data to provide you with the QuickPOS service.

to improve, protect, and personalize the product experience.

4. How We Store and Protect Information

We implement reasonable security controls to protect your information against unauthorized access,
use, or disclosure.

In some scenarios, data may be stored locally on your own computer or device,
and/or synchronized with our cloud services for backup and multi-branch access.

Access to the system may be restricted by user, password, and internal roles.
However, no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure.
We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain information while your account is active or as necessary to
operate QuickPOS, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
When the information is no longer necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to delete or anonymize it.
6. Sharing Information with Third Parties
We may share information only in the following situations:

Service providers:
For example, hosting services, cloud backup, error analytics, or notification delivery services.
These providers may only use your information to help us provide the service.

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that the law requires it
or to respond to valid legal proceedings.

If QuickPOS or part of its assets is merged, sold, or transferred,
user information may become part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for commercial use unrelated to QuickPOS.

- Correcting information that you believe is inaccurate or outdated.

8. Children's Privacy
QuickPOS is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age defined by applicable law in your region).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we discover that we have information from a child without valid consent,
we will make reasonable efforts to delete it.
9. Local Data vs. Cloud Data
QuickPOS may operate in two modes:

Local / desktop mode:
Information is stored directly on your device.
You are responsible for the physical and digital security of that device.

Connected / cloud mode:
Some information may be synchronized with our services
to allow access between branches, backups, and centralized reporting.
In cloud mode, your data may be stored on servers located outside your country,
subject to the data protection laws of that region.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary (for example,
if we add new features or legal requirements change).
We will publish the updated version indicating the "Last updated" date
at the top of this document.
We recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy from time to time to stay informed.
Continued use of QuickPOS after any changes means that you accept the updated version.
